Just to keep things a little bit fresher in my mind, I am making a separate post that includes the items I am working on. Right now I am going to spend a lot of time focusing on that items in the health category. I'm fairly motivated in that area right now, so I might as well run with it as much as I can right now.
So here is the list of "working on" stuff with details included.
3. Complete at least 8 scrapbooks. Three of these must be the following: All About Me, 101 Things, and a personal album. This albums can be any size, including mini-books. (0/8 scrapbooks) I don't actually have one in particular that I am working on, but with the upcoming scrapbook convention, I will be starting two new mini-albums and hopefully will be finishing them too. I also have been working on a book to put my 365 pictures that I am going to be taking in.
5. Create a binder to collect quotes, stories, and other stuff I find interesting or inspiring. I don't have the binder yet, but I am collecting the stories and quotes.
6. edited Complete at least 500 scrapbook pages. (2/500 pages) I actually might have a bit more than 2. I just haven't been keeping count. I will update this one once I am able to count my pages.
8. Create a scrapbook inspiration binder. This can include pagemaps, sketches, pages I want to make, etc. I haven't actually started the binder for this one yet either, but I am collecting the contents.
13. edited Post pictures of at least 50 scrapbook pages or projects that I complete on blog. (3/50) I posted the pages that I was going to submit to a design team in October 2008. Too bad I chickened out or that could have been another completed.
14. Lose at least 100 pounds. Small reward after each 10 pound loss. Big reward after losing 100. (23/100 pounds) This one is coming along fairly well. I am stuck at a bit of a plateau and it is starting to drive me nuts.
15. Eat breakfast daily for 3 months. (0/90 days) I already eat something breakfast-like every work day so this one shouldn't be too hard. Weekends are my struggle and I actually do need to eat that breakfast a little earlier on work days. The official start date of this one is going to be tomorrow, 04/13/2009.
19. Get yearly physical and well-woman check-up.
(Physical - 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) (Well-woman - 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)
20. Drink 64 oz of water daily for 2 months. (0/60 days) I drink a lot of water on work days but like before, weekends are the struggle. Official start day on this one is tomorrow, 04/13/2009 as well.
22. Monthly self-breast exams for 1 year. (0/12 months) Official start month is April.
23. Get at least 6 hours of sleep every night for 1 month. (0/30 days) The official start date of this one is going to be 04/20/2009. I can't officially start this one until after the scrapbook convention. I can't promise anything this weekend. :)
24. Create exercise routine and stick to it. Must exercise at least four times a week for three months straight. (0/12 weeks) Most of this is going to involve walking with the girls at work. We try to walk during our 10:00 break at work. The only struggle is the wind. It is hard to walk out there with all of the coal dust blowing around on windy days. I will just have to make an effort to take care of the exercising on the days that it is windy.
25. Plan menu for two weeks at a time. Make grocery list and buy only what is on that list. Do this for 3 months. (0/3 months) The official start date for this one will be 04/20/2009. I have found a few good web-sites that might help me on this mission.
27. Find a recipe for Sesame Chicken or Orange Chicken that we love. I am always on the lookout for a good recipe for either one of these. Or both would work.
31. Complete remaining questions in journal jar. I have been working on this one for a while now. I'm not sure how many I have left to do, or how many I even started with, but it is coming along fairly well.
32. Complete an entry in one of my on-line journals at least three times a week for 1 year. (0/52 weeks) My start date is today.
35. Read an average of a book a week for the entire 1001 days. That is 143 books. (61/143 books) I am having so much fun with this one. I love to read anyway, but I am having fun keeping track of the books that I read. I am using Good Reads to log them. I really like that web-site.
36. Make a list of all books read during 1001 days. Write what I thought of each book in my blog. (33/143 books) I am a bit behind on this one, but I have a folder on my desktop with pictures of the covers of each of the books as well as a text document with the Title and Author info. I better catch up soon though, or I might forget too much.
37. Organize each room of the house. Make sure everything has a “home” and those things we do not need do one of three things with: throw away, give away, or sell. (2 bathrooms, girls' bedroom, living room, kitchen, our bedroom) I am really going to focus on this one this month as well. I am tired of living in an organized area. It is funny that I love organizational products so much, but my home is so unorganized. Time to change that.
38. Organize storage unit. Decide what to keep and what needs to go. Bonus points if we can make it up to Colorado Springs to clean that one out and be able to quit paying on that storage unit. Working on plans to get to Colorado Springs to take care of that storage. Hopefully we will be able to make that trip sometime before the summer is over, at least.
51. Save a minimum of $3,000 in savings account to be used for emergencies as well as save money to move out of Willcox. (0/3,000 dollars) I need to check that account and see what the balance is. We also have some money from our tax check to add into that account.
54. Go on at least 5 camping trips. (1/5 trips) (#1 - 07/2008 to Alpine) We hope to take at least a few trips up to Alpine this summer to visit Mom and Dad at camp.
58. Try 10 new restaurants. These can be fast food or sit down restaurants, but preferably fairly inexpensive. (4/10 restaurants) (Beyond Bread, Whataburger, Schlotsky's, In-N-Out Burger) This one has been really fun so far and we haven't had any bad experiences. The girls weren't huge fans of In-N-Out Burger, but the others have been huge hits. We have been back to Beyond Bread at least four times since then. It is a new favorite.
59. Have at least two characters who are at the highest level on World of Warcraft. Breka counts as one. Lalaith is next. Breka is level 70 right now and the level cap is 80. 10 more to go. Lalaith is level 56 or 57, I think. It has been a while since I played.
62. Put music from all CDs that I enjoy onto I-pod. Organize all music, complete with playlists. Delete songs we don’t like. This one seems to be a constant struggle. Mostly the getting rid of songs we don't like.
65. Watch all movies nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards for each year completing the list. Start with movies from 2007.
(2007 - No Country for Old Men, Atonement, Juno, Michael Clayton, There Will Be Blood)
(2008 - Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, Milk, The Reader)
(2009 - )
2010 - )
69. Discover 5 new singers or groups that I really enjoy. (3/5) (Lady Antebellum, Kelly Sweet, Katy Perry)
71. Get family pictures taken at least once per year. Pictures an be professional or taken by friend or family member. Frame at least 1 for hanging in home. (2009, 2010, 2011) Thanks Suzi! Pictures are printed for the wall. Now to get them framed and hung.
72. Read to girls at least 4 nights a week for six months. (2/6 months) (February, March) We are all really loving this one. We have finished all of the Chronicles of Narnia books and are not reading Susannah's choice, "Paint the Wind". Sydney gets to pick next.
92. Read all e-mail in in-box within 3 days. Keep in-box organized for 6 months. Unsubscribe from all mailing lists that I don’t even bother opening. (0/26 weeks) I am working on getting the last of the lingering e-mails sorted in my in-box. Official start date will be tomorrow, 04/13/2009.
